Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nam – Rector of the NEU had a meeting with the delegation of Minot State University, United States of America.

On June 4th 2010, the delegation from Minot Sate University including Dr. David G. Fuller, President; Dr. Joann K. Linrud, Dean of Business College; Dr. Gary J. Ross, Chair of Business Administration Department paid a visit to NEU. The discussion focused on joint training program at Bachelor level and Master level between two institutions.

The NEU cooperates with Germany in constructing the water supply and sewage treatment at NEU.

On May 31st 2010, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nam - Rector had a meeting with H.E. Rolf Schulze, the Ambassador of Germany to Vietnam on the establishment of water supply and sewage treatment at the NEU. The meeting also saw the presence of Ms. Brigit Wendling, development cooperation counselor, the experts from Stadtentwaesserung Dresden Company (Germany), the representatives of Ministry of Planning and Investment (Vietnam) as well as the the senior staff of the NEU.

The Ambassador affirmed to support the NEU in cooperation with Germany, initially the cooperation between the NEU and the organizations in Germany to establish water supply and sewage treatment system at the NEU in the coming time.

Sumitomo Corporation – Japan will establish the scholarship funds for the NEU's excellent students.

On May 24th 2010, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Trung along with the NEU's staff had a meeting with Mr. Tatsuya Hirata – Director of Administrative Affairs Department. Sumitomo Corporation has contributed a lot in transferring the Japanese economic knowledge to the students with series of annual lectures at the NEU. Following the series of lectures, from 2010, Sumitomo Corporation will grant the scholarships for the NEU's excellent students. The total of the scholarship is up to 12.000 USD for the period of 4 years. The further cooperation discussed in the meeting will be field trips to the manufacturers of Sumitomo so that the students could have the deep insight on business administration of a large corporation.

The Ceremony of signing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Economics University, Vietnam and CNAM, Enass University, France.

On May 5th 2010, the National Economics University and CNAM, Enass University officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The cooperation may concern any field or subject including various activities:

• Training Bachelor and Master Degree;
• Conducting joint research;
• Conducting lectures, joint short courses and symposia;
• Exchange of faculties and scholars;
• Exchange of students;
• Exchange of information and materials in fields which are of interest to both parties.

Signing MOU is the initial step for the detailed cooperation between two institutions in Master joint training program in the near future.

The National Economics University signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CPA Australia

On April 12th 2010, the NEU held the Ceremony of signing the MOU with CPA Australia at the Cultural Hall of the NEU. CPA Australia is the world's seventh largest accounting body, representing more than 129,000 finance, accounting and business professionals located in Australia, Asia and Europe. Currently its members work in more than 100 countries, and are part of a global finance and business network of more than 800,000 members.

CPA Australia President Richard Petty said "Both parties are dedicated to contributing to the development of the accountancy profession in Australia and Vietnam." The Memorandum of Understanding identifies areas for joint initiatives - including scholarships, information and learning opportunities and seminars and workshops.

The 3rd lecture, 2nd year of Sumitomo Corporation on "Sumitomo's Business Strategies" at the National Economics University

On April 7th 2010, the NEU cooperated with Sumitomo Corporation, Japan and Vietnamese Industrial and Commercial Department organizing the 3rd lecture, 2nd year of Sumitomo Corporation on "Sumitomo's Business Strategies". The lecture presented by Mr. Kazuhiro Takeuchi, Memmber of Management Board of Sumitomo Corporation, Deputy Director of Sumitomo of the Asia Department.

October 2010: Worshop on “Socio – economic Sustainability in Urban Development”
The NEU in the cooperation with the organizations of Germany will hold the workshop on “Socio – economic Sustainability in Urban Development” in October 2010. The workshop will see the presences of the researchers, lecturers and experts from the Institutes, academic institution in Vietnam and Germany.
November 2010: Conference on “Environmental – economics in the context of economic integration and climate changes”
On the occasion of 10th establishment ceremony of the Environmental and Urban Economics and Management Faculty, the NEU will hold the conference on “Environmental – economics in the context of economic integration and climate changes” in November 2010. The participants will be the lecturers and researchers from the institutes and academic institutions, environmental menagers from industrial zones and enterprises, the representatives of Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade… and all the guests interested.
