On 9th Jan, 2017, representatives of 16 universities at the UK paid their visit to National Economics University (NEU)
Such were 16 universities located in the UK that University of Bath; Bournemouth University; BPP University; The University of Buckingham; University of East Anglia; Lancaster University; Leeds Beckett University; Liverpool John Moores University; Alliance Manchester Business School; The University of Northampton; Nottingham Trent University; Robert Gordon University; Staffordshire University; University of Sunderland; University of Worcester, and The University of Nottingham visited NEU and had a courtesy call with NEU President.

Attending the meeting, on NEU side, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – President, Dr. Dao Thanh Tung – Director of International Cooperation Department, MBA. Pham Sy Long – Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, Dr. Dang Anh Tuan – Vice Dean of School of Banking and Finance, Dr. Dam Son Toai– Vice Dean of Center for Advanced Educational Program, Assoc Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Hung – Vice Dean of NEU School of Business Management. There were also Ms. Bui Thanh Nga – Manager of Educational Development Program at British Council Vietnam.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat said that in 2016, NEU organized the 60-year anniversary ceremony, an important landmark in the history of NEU construction and development. He also emphasized that NEU was trying its best to become a research-oriented university and to meet international standards. Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat believed that the relationships among NEU and universities in the UK would be developed and achieve many fruitful achievements in the near future.

After the meeting, 16 UK universities attended Education UK Information Day on “Studying Master in Economics and Business Management and Living in the UK” organized at NEU.

There were many activities in that Education UK Information Day such as exchanging the information of recruitment of 16 UK universities, studying the information about MBA and Economics Courses as well as scholarships granted for these courses, and exploring the way to improve IELTS band score, etc. Those activities were beneficial to NEU students and helped them have full information before making decisions to go abroad.
When that event finished, NEU students received many gifts from the UK universities.
