With the aim to renovate and improve training quality towards being a research-oriented univesity in the context of international economic integration, Faculty of Foreign Languages at NEU organized series of activities to enhance the quality of foreign languages training at universities.
On 28 November 2016, Faculty of Foreign Languages in collaboration with foreign languages unspecialized universitiies organized the Workshop: Improve quality in English education at universities in economics and business management. Attending the program, there were Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - Vice President, representatives of NEU Science and Education Council and other units. From distinguished guests, there were representatives of Foreign Trade University, Thuongmai University, Hanoi University of Industry, and the like.
Through evaluating foreign languages education at NEU, sharing experiences in training foreign languages, the workshop facilitated NEU and Faculty of Foreign Languages to build up development strategy in the period 2017-2020.
On 27 December 2016, Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the talk about "Improving bachelor program in Business English to meet social needs" to share experiences in buiding up curriculum of BA in Business English of foreign languages unspecialized universities. The participants jointly evaluated Business English programs at Foreign Trade University and NEU, shared experiences in buidling the curriculum and recommended solutions improving the programs.
Besides, English Day was organized regularly to help students practice English, in which students only used English to communicate. It was a such interesting and meaningful activity which facilitate NEU students to review English lessons and entertain after concerted effort.
Those mentioned activities contributed to extending and strenthening relationship between NEU Faculty of Foreign Languages and other institutes as well as improving curriculum and training quality at NEU.
