On the morning of 24 December 2017, National Economics University held the national conference: "Online Training in 4.0 Industrial Revolution " with the attendance of 229 distinguished guests.
Overview of the conference
Attending the conference, there were Dr. Nguyen Dac Hung, Director, Department of Education-Training and Vocational Training (Central Propaganda Committee); Assoc Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa, Vice President of National Economics University; along with representatives of Vietnam National University, Hanoi Open University, etc.

Making a speech at the conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa,Vice President warmly welcomed the delegates to attend the conference. "Each era of technological development (called industrial revolution) takes a leap forward in human development. We have gone through 3 industrial revolutions for over 300 years and now, we are at the threshold of a new industrial revolution driven by the confluence of a staggering range of emerging technologies. The revolution has been effects on all aspects of life, including education. The 4.0 Industrial Revolution characterized by the increasingly explosive growth of information technology is changing education not only in developed countries but also in developing countries like Vietnam" said Assoc Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa. She also affirmed that the Organizing Committee would like to receive more detailed comments from scientists and experts to clarify two main contents: (1) Trends and requirements for E-learning application in higher education in 4.0 industrial revolution; (2) Advantages and disadvantages of E-Learning.
Discussion Panel
The conference created an important forum for managers, lectureres, and learners to exchange information about bringing new technology into higher education, changing social awareness of digital technologies application in traning.
There are 56 papers published in the conference proceedings. The papers focused on following issues: (1) Trends in online training in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and necessity, role, benefits of online training; (2) Emerging online learning models and methods; (3) Situation and solutions to improve the quality of online teaching and learning (such as sharing experiences, applying online training in some countries around the world and lessons for Vietnam).
