On 15 September 2017, the National Economics University held the 2017 the Conference of Students' Scientific Research. This event aimed at summarizing and rewarding students, lecturers with outstanding achievements in scientific research in the academic year 2016-2017.
Attending the ceremony, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen - Deputy General Director of Hoa Phat Group, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang - Baoviet Insurance Corporation. From NEU, there were Prof. Dr. Tran ThoDat - President, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Chairman of University Council; Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa - Vice President and NEU staff, students who achieved excellent result in scientific research in 2017.
Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat made a speech at the conference
Addressing at the conference, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat praised the efforts of 123 groups of students who won the university award. He siad:“ NEU expects its students and lecturers to continue to promote scientific research and endeavor to publish their papers in the SCOPUS and ISI journals”. Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat sincerely thanked Hoa Phat and Bao Viet Group for sponsoring NEU students in scientific activities over the years.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen - Deputy General Director of Hoa Phat Group hoped that the value of the sponsorship would act as an incentive to NEU students in studying and research. At the same time, Hoa Phat Group provided grant worth 96 millions VND and Bao Viet Group gave grant worth 40 millions VND for NEU students’ scientific research projects.
Nguyen Huy- EBBA 6A made a speech
On behalf of NEU students, Nguyen Huy – EBBA student (Business School) expressed his grateful thanks to NEU lecturers and sponsors for their support. He also shared difficulties in doing researches as well as the cooperation and contribution of his team members. He hoped that students' research activities should be given more attention to help students improve their skills and accumulate knowledge, which would be the groundwork for their future career.
