The Asia-Pacific Mediation Forum (APMF) was formed in 2001 and is a not-for-profit regional association of individuals, organisations and institutions interested in promoting peace through mediation and other dispute resolution processes, such as conciliation and arbitration, wherever conflicts threaten the well-being of individuals, organisations, communities and local, state or national governments in the region. The main objective of the APMF is to facilitate the exchange and development of knowledge, values and skills of mediation and other dispute resolution processes, in any form, including inter-cultural, interpersonal, inter-institutional and international, within and between the diverse countries and cultures in the Asia-Pacific region.
This year, the 8th Asia Pacific Mediation Forum Conference on "The future of Mediation in the Asia Pacific Region" is going to held in November in November Da Nang, Viet Nam. The APFM Executive and Vietnam Conference Organising Committee invite potential presenters to submit online a 300 word biography and a 500 word abstract of a proposed conference paper, 3-hour workshop or poster by July 10th 2017. All presenters whose are accepted by the reviewers will be required to register and pay for the conference. Early bird registrations to attend the conference (with a saving of 100USD) will be available on the conference website until the end of July.
