One in four of the world’s school-aged children now live in a country affected by crisis. In 2015 alone, more than 80 million children and young people had their education disrupted or destroyed due to natural disasters or conflict.
To help tackle this problem, through the UK Government’s Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), the British Academy is calling for research proposals in the field of education & learning in crises. Joint applications from UK-based researchers and overseas collaborators are required.
Awards can be up to £360,000 for 21 months in duration. Deadline for application: 4 December 2019.
