It is our great pleasure to inform you of the Exchange Program in Cooperation with the 2021 Japanese Government Scholarship Program (MEXT Scholarship Program)
This program's contents is that participants must first receive a scholarship offered through MEXT (Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) applicable to graduate level research. Upon doing so, participants will be assigned to an appropriate academic department (as well as a suitable advisory professor) based on their field of study. They will be enrolled in regular graduate level classes (conducted in Japanese) alongside full-time Senshu University.

As written in the attached “Official Letter”, below are the corresponding application deadlines for each recruitment session.

Application deadline: Friday, January 15, 2021
Senshu University has been selected to accept only “ONE student” from any of our all partner universities/institutions for this MEXT Scholarship Program, therefore, you can nominate only one Graduate student.
Please note that, our all regular classes conducted in Japanese. And, MEXT requires following Language Skills Requirements to the applicants.
In order to be eligible for this program, applicants must satisfy one of the following conditions for both Japanese and English language requirements.
●Japanese
①Passed level N2 or above on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at the time of enrolling in regular courses.
②Completed a curriculum which meets the entrance qualifications for master’s courses and/or doctoral courses (first term or second term) at a Japanese university with Japanese as its primary language.
③Determined by Senshu University to possess Japanese language proficiency equal to or greater than condition ①.
●English
①Earned an examination score equal to or more than B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in English (or equivalent qualification) at the time of enrollment in regular courses.
②Completed a curriculum which meets the entrance qualifications for master’s courses and/or doctoral courses (first term or second term) at a Japanese university with English as its primary language.
③Determined by Senshu University to possess English language proficiency equal to or greater than condition ①.
