On the morning of 24th August 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – NEU President had a courtesy meeting with a delegation of the World Bank led by Mr. Dilip Parajuli – Senior Education Economist.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged their views on the implementation of the project on using ODA to build the National Economics University into a smart university with the national startup center and the practical base of tourism, hotel, finance, banking, and fintech in a synchronous and modern way. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dilip Parajuli - Senior Education Economist, Head of the Vietnam Education Program emphasized that he and the World Bank would have whole-hearted support NEU to run this project to quickly achieve the planned goals.
Also at the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong appreciated and thanked you for the enthusiastic support from the World Bank in Vietnam as well as Mr. Dilip Parajuli over the time. With the aim at creating a startup ecosystem on a smart university platform not only for NEU students but also for students of all universities in Hanoi, the project will help NEU to be a place to share startup models and ideas for students of over 40 universities by the way of remote access, thus making contributions to train quality-human resources for society.
