In the morning of 26 November 2019, National Economics University organized the second international conference on "Contemporary Issues in Economics, Management and Business” (CIEMB 2019).
Attending the conference, there were Prof. Robin Mason - Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), The University of Birmingham (UK), Prof. Benyayer Louis David – ESCP Europe Business School, Prof. Raynouard Arnaud – Paris Dauphine University (France), Prof. Sarath Dalpachitra – General Editor of Australian Economic Paper, Prof. Toshio Ogata – Emeritus Professor, Chuo University (Japan). From NEU, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of University Council, Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – President, Assoc Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – Vice President, with national and international experts, speakers.
In this conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – NEU President emphasized: “We are fortunate to receive a large number of submissions from scholars, researchers and policy makers. With conceptual and methodological rigor, 100 papers are selected to present in 11 parallel sessions. I hope that the CIEMB 2019 provides a wonderful opportunity for researchers, practitioners and policymakers to discuss ongoing research in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. From the high quality of the keynote speakers and presenters at the conference, I believe that we will leave the conference with good ideas on contemporary issues in economics, management and business. This conference is also of great significance for the collaboration among National Economics University of Vietnam and other universities in the world.”
Founded in 1956, National Economics University is one of the leading universities in Economics, Public Management and Business Administration in Vietnam. As an research oriented university, National Economics University has developed a research agenda that aims to introduce theoretical and empirical evidence that stimulate and enhance the quality of public debate on policy matters that have implications for business and the economy in Vietnam. Accordingly, following the success of CIEMB 2018, CIEMB 2019 is an annual activity to promote academic work to public and practice.
CIEMB 2019 included 11 parallel sessions in various aspects of economics, management and business with the participation of economic experts from NEU and international scholars.
Earlier, NEU Board of Management warmly welcomed international keynote speakers of CIEMB 2019 on 25 November. Assoc Prof. Dr Bui Duc Tho – Vice President expressed sincere thanks to international scholars for high quality research papers submitting to the conference and wished them would have memorable experiences during their stay in Hanoi.
