On 20 April 2017, the delegation of Kyung Hee University led by Mr. Jonathan Joo - Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration paid a visit to the National Economics University.
Accompanying Mr. Jonathan, there were Mr. Jae Woo Jang - CEO of Hyorim Global Co., Ltd and Mr. Eunseok Jeon - CEO của BANA Inc. From NEU, there were Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - Vice President, Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Director of International Cooperation Department, Assoc Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho - Director of Scientific Management Department. At the meeting, two sides discussed to explore the possibility for cooperation in joint training and scientific research.
For more than 60 years, Kyung Hee University has developed remarkably and be considered one of the most pretigious universities in Korea. According to Asia University Ranking, in 2015, Kyung Hee was ranked number 38 among Asian universities. Furthermore, Kyung Hee was ranked number 264 among 916 universities ranked in the QS World University Ranking in 2016. Pursuing "Global Eminence" on a foundation of academic excellence, Kyung Hee University desires to become an academic community that fulfills its social responsibility by cultivating world citizens with the capacity for communication and public service.
The Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA), Kyung Hee University is one of the most prestigious business schools in Korea which offers an excellent business training program to cultivate innovative and effective managers in the various areas like Tax Management International Management, Management Consulting, e-Business, Brand Management and the like.
Mr. Jonathan Joo said that Kyung Hee University and GSBA endeavor to extend collaboration with reputable universities in Asia and over the world. He hoped that in the future, Kyung Hee and NEU would establish officially cooperation and implement exchange and joint education programs for students of two countries.
Warmly greeting the delegation of Kyung Hee University to visit NEU, Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong shared that the year 2016 marked the 60th anniversary of the National Economics University which was the milestone in the development path of the University. Currently, NEU establishes international cooperation with more than 100 distinguished institutes. Especially, NEU promotes cooperation with many Korean organizations and universities such as KOICA, Lotte, Korean Foundation, Mokpo National University, Dongseo University and the like. The Vice President expressed the desire to extend the collaboration with Korean partners and cooperate with Kyung Hee University in exchange programs, joint research and education.
The representatives hoped that two universities would sign the memoradum of understanding in the near future.
