On the
afternoon of June 30, 2022, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of NEU had a
meeting with the delegation of Saxion University of Applied Sciences
(Netherlands) on opportunities in research cooperation and education &
training.

Attending the
meeting, on the side of Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands),
there were Prof. Timber Haaker - Leader of the Business model research project; Ms. Ngoc
Ngo - In charge of the International Cooperation Department; Prof. Harry Futselaar - Leader of
International Water Technology Group; Ms. Christa Barkel - Expert of the
Digital Business Model group, Block Chain technology. On the side of the
National Economics University, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Truong -
Director of the Faculty of Environment, Climate Change and Urbanism; Dr. Vu Van
Ngoc - President of School of advanced Education Programs; Dr. Pham Sy Long -
Vice Head of International Cooperation Department.

At the meeting,
the two sides discussed the possibility of cooperation in implementing projects
related to the development of the Circular Economy in Vietnam in the new
context and in line with the strengths of the National Economics University,
including the organization of seminars, professional training, practical
activities or short courses. Experts from Saxion University of Applied Sciences
also proposed the implementation of water purification technology at the
National Economics University. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to assign the
Faculty of Environment, Climate Change, and Cities as the important points to
discuss detailed plans, report to the University's leadership, and support
experts from the Netherlands to implement the project in the future.

Also during the
meeting, the two sides discussed continuing to maintain and strengthen
cooperation in implementing training and education programs between the two
universities on Circular Economy, Water Management, and Block
Chain Technology. The two sides agreed to continue to exchange more detailed
information about subjects, tuition fees and discuss, design study programs as
well as appropriate admission criteria to start enrollment as soon as possible.
Currently, it is possible to implement Online, Hybrid programs (online-offline
combination), and then there will be direct exchange programs at schools in the
Netherlands/Vietnam. Hopefully, in August this year will start to implement,
firstly online.
