On September 30th 2019, the MOU signing ceremony between National Economics University and Deakin University, Australia had organized at National Economics University.
Attending the signing ceremony, toward Deakin University, there were Prof. Alexander Newman, Deputy Head of Department of Business, International Affair, School of Business and Law; Mr. Rob McDonald, International Management; Mrs. Trinh Mai, Representative Director in Vietnam, International Board of Deakin University; Mrs. Thanh Trinh, Business Development Director in Vietnam, International Board of Deakin University. Toward National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Pham Hong Chuong, President; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc, Dean of School of Advanced Education Programs, Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Head of Personnel Department; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung, Head of International Cooperation Department; Msc. Le Anh Duc, Deputy Head of Training Management Department; Msc. Ho Quynh Anh, Deputy Head of Administration Office and staffs, students from School of Advanced Education Programs.
Addressing at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Pham Hong Chuong, President of National Economics University was highly appreciated the relationship between Vietnam and Australia in general and durable relationship between National Economics University and Australia’s universities. The President hoped that this ceremony would promote the cooperate training and research between two universities more and more.
At the ceremony, Prof. Alexander Newman, Deputy Head of Department of Business, International Affair, University of Business and Law also affirmed that National Economics University was one the leading university in term of economics and business administration in Vietnam, providing high quality human resources for Vietnam. Prof. Alexander Newman said that Deakin University was established in 1974 and ranked 11 among the best universities in Australia. In the worldwide, Deakin university was in the top 1% of the best universities and accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACBS).
At the ceremony, the representatives of two universities had signed the MOU on cooperation and placed an important milestone in the cooperation relationship. According the MOU, the goals of the agreement was to promote cooperation through the exploitation of joint research projects, exchange lecturers and students, cooperation in the implementation of scientific research and training projects; building advanced training programs, organize short-term training programs; enhance academic exchange and cooperate in many others field.
