On the morning of April 10, 2019, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - NEU President met and worked with Mr. Ito Junichi - Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Japan.
Also attending the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Dinh Bao - Head of the Department of Economics; Prof. Dr. Pham The Anh - Head of Department of Macroeconomics.
On behalf of the university’s leadership, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - NEU President expressed his pleasure to have Mr. Ito Junichi - Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Japan visit and work at the University. At the reception, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat gave a brief introduction on the history of formation, construction and development of the National Economics University, and introduced the strengths and outstanding achievements in the university’s training, scientific research and international cooperation.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on some issues such as the long-term vision of Vietnam's economy; factors affecting Vietnam's economic growth; the impact of US-China trade war or how to improve infrastructure and keep the momentum of economic growth in the state of budget deficit.
