In order to improve teaching and learning quality, the National Economics University implemented Blended Learning from 10 Feb 2020 for all levels.
Blended learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-based classroom methods. Blended learning is a term increasingly used to describe the way e-learning is being combined with traditional classroom methods and independent study to create a new, hybrid teaching methodology. It represents a much greater change in basic technique than simply adding computers to classrooms; it represents, in many cases, a fundamental change in the way teachers and students approach the learning experience. It has already produced an offshoot – the flipped classroom – that has quickly become a distinct approach of its own.
Over 800 NEU lecturers were trained to run LMS software for their online teaching, and now, there are over 25.000 students at all levels to participate in Blended Learning method, thus making great improvement of teaching methodology at NEU. With the success of NEU-Elearning, NEU have improved its infrastructure for this style of education at all levels since Sept 2020 with the support from IT experts to build online lectures.
