On
September 12th 2019, in Malaysia, Nguyen Thu Huyen – Public
Management and Policy Intake 2 had successfully won the first prize of ICDL
Digital Challenge 2019. Huyen was the first Vietnamese won the highest prize of this contest and brought glory to our country in
general and National Economics University in particular. Besides, this is
also the confirmation for National Economics University’s reputation in
training quality.
Previously, Nguyen Thu Huyen had won the first prize in the contest among
universities in Vietnam to win a ticket to join Asia Reginal Final contest.
With the creativity and the breakthrough of the contest, she was excellently
won the first prize in the category of Business and Finance.
ICDL in the
abbreviation of “International Computer Driving Licence”, a set of international
information technology skill certificates – an international name of European
Computer Driving Licence. ICDL is a measurement of international standard to
assess accurately and effectively the computer skills and information
technology proficiently of candidates. ICDL was built and developed by the
leading experts in the field of scientific and business in the information
technology in Europe and all over the world.
ICDL was
enacted, operated and organized identically all over the world based on 9001-2008
quality system. ICDL is a solution built in independent criteria to objectively
assess an applicant’s IT skills and qualifications regardless of the specific
environment or operating system. It makes the evaluation of results
become more flexible and accurate.
From 2018,
National Economics University in cooperation with ICDL to establish a testing
center at NEU to organize ICDL certification exams for students. ICDL is the
most popular IT certification in the world. It had been recognized and enacted
in around 170 countries with 41 languages with 24000 testing center and over 15
million participants.
