From June 17 to
19, 2022, in Washington DC - USA, the delegation of the National
Economics University participated in the Annual Conference of the Accreditation
Council for Business Schools and Programs ACBSP.
The delegation
was led by Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of the University, and
members of Dr. Vu Van Ngoc – President of the School of Advanced Education Programs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham
Thi Bich Chi - Head of Finance and Accounting Department; Dr. Dam Son Toai –
Head of Department of Examination and Education Quality Assurance Department;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Que - President of School of Banking and Finance;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Son Tung – Head of Faculty of Business Administration;
along with some teachers representing departments, faculties, institutes and
centers of the university.

ACBSP's 35th
Annual Conference was attended by more than 600 delegates from countries and
regions around the world. The workshop has 82 sessions and events. In addition
to participating in the opening and closing ceremony, the University's delegation
also participated in academic sessions on university administration,
information technology application in training activities and scientific research, development
of new training programs and fields, techniques for reviewing training
programs, with emphasis on building teaching programs that meet output
standards and synchronize with testing and evaluation activities. The
delegation also had initial contact and exchange activities with ACBSP's
partners about providing learner knowledge surveys and comparative analysis services on a
global scale.

At the closing
ceremony, the ACBSP Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
awarded certificates of quality for the first time to training programs
belonging to 28 universities from the United States, Canada, Switzerland,
Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Vietnam; in which the United States has 14 schools,
Vietnam has 2 representatives. National Economics University is honored to have
11 programs accredited for quality standards. The training programs will make
quality reports every 2 years and after 7 years must conduct re-accreditation.
This is a strict process to ensure that the programs meet the quality standards
and must constantly improve the quality of training.

In 2017,
National Economics University became a member of ACBSP and inspected the quality
of 11 training programs, of which 10 training programs were managed by the School of
Advanced Education Programs, and 01 training programs were managed by the Business School. Programs include:
Advanced Finance; Advanced Accounting; High-quality programs:
Audit; International Business, Business Administration; Bank; Marketing; and
Investment Economics; POHE include: Hotel Management; Management of tourism and
travel services; and Business Administration program in English. The inspection
process had encountered the objective impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic;
However, with the efforts of related organizations and the active participation
of students in the process of self-assessment and external assessment, by
December 28, 2021, the Education Accreditation Council ACBSP had officially
announced the results of the inspection.
Thus, up to
now, the National Economics University has had 17 quality standard training
programs, including 1 training program meeting the quality standards of CPA
(Australia), 11 training programs meeting the standards of ACBSP (USA), 6
programs meet the quality standards according to the set of standards issued in
Circular 04/2016 of the Minister of Education and Training. It is expected that
by the beginning of 2023, the University will have 20 more programs meeting
quality standards, of which 05 programs meet quality standards according to the
set of standards issued in Circular 04/2016 by the Minister of Education and Training,
and 15 training programs meet quality standards according to the standards of
FIBAA (Switzerland).
In addition,
the university is performing accreditation of educational institutions
according to the standards of FIBAA (Switzerland) and is expected to complete
the external assessment by the end of 2022.
Education
quality accreditation at the National Economics University is an example of
educational integration in order to bring the best quality of training, to meet
the needs of students and the needs of high-quality human resources of the
labor market. On the basis of the strategy for the period 2021-2030, the
University will continue to conduct accreditation for training programs
according to the standards of international accrediting organizations, and make
efforts to have at least 80% of training programs accredited.
