In the morning of April 8, 2019, Opening Ceremony of the Summer Cooperation Program between National Economics University and Australian National University took place.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of the National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU Vice President; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Phuong Thao - Head of the Department of Real Estate & Resource Economics; Dr. Le Viet Thuy - Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office; Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Lecturer of Faculty of Economics. On the side of the Australian National University, there were Prof. Andrew Bradly - Senior lecturer in charge of exchange programs; Prof. Marina Naumoska - Student exchange program coordinator; Assoc. Vinh Lu - Assistant of of Economics Business Faculty , with 30 students from Australian National University.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU Vice President was very pleased to welcome the distinguished guests, teachers and students who took the time to attend the ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong said that this program was a part of the New Columbus Project funded by the Australian Government and was one of the cooperative activities between the National Economics University and Australian National University. Over 60 years of development, the National Economics University has become one of the largest, traditional and most prestigious universities in Vietnam in terms of economics, management and business. The National Economics University and Australian National University have a long-term cooperative relationship with many affiliate programs such as the 1 + 1 Master Program in International Economics and Development Economics, scientific research, faculty exchange and students. He hoped that this course would be a bridge to help the relationship between National Economics University and Australian National University become more and more sustainable.
Also at the ceremony, Prof. Andrew Bradly - Senior lecturer in charge of exchange program said: This study tour is specially organized for Australian National University students with the aim of helping students gain more experiences, receive cultural and academic exchanges in Vietnam with the support of the National Economics University and Australian National University. Through the program, it is hoped that the students will better understand a new and dynamic economy of Vietnam. We strongly believe that these activities will mark the good cooperation between National Economics University and Australian National University in general, and increase the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Australia in particular”.
This summer course was co-organized by National Economics University and Australian National University for more than 30 talented students from two universities. The course was held at the National Economics University from April 8 to April 12, 2019 with the goal of providing students with general economic, political, social and cultural understanding of Vietnam, including academic activities such as attending classes on Vietnamese economy, FDI, and language Vietnamese culture and traditions ...
Previously, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU Vice President had a cordial reception and friendly conversation with distinguished guests from Australian National University. Attending the reception were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Truong - Head of Environment and Urban Department. Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of International Cooperation Department. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Phuong Thao - Head of Real Estate & Resource Economics Department; Dr. Le Viet Thuy - Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office; Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Lecturer of Faculty of Economics.
At the reception, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong introduced an overview of the history of formation, development and outstanding achievements in the training, scientific research and international cooperation of National Economics University. Also at the meeting, he thanked and hoped that the distinguished guests would have a wonderful time studying and experiencing at the National Economics University.
