On the morning of January 18, 2019, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - NEU President had a meeting and worked with Prof. Inger Hutter - Director of the Institute of International Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giang Thanh Long - Director of the Institute of Public Policy and Management; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of International Cooperation Department.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - NEU President expressed his pleasure when he first welcomed Prof. Inger Hutter to visit and work at the University. Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat acknowledged and highly appreciated the cooperation between the National Economics University and the International Institute for Social Studies (ISS) in the past 25 years, which created the success of the Graduate Program between Vietnam - Netherlands. At the meeting, he also said that international cooperation was one of the prioritized activities in the university’s development strategy. Training, research and student exchange activities also have always been promoted and implemented by the National Economics University in recent years, expressed by memorandum of cooperation between the University National economy with many other universities in the world.
Prof. Inger Hutter - Director of the Institute of International Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands appreciated the cooperative relationship and the outstanding successes that the National Economics University has achieved in recent years.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed opportunities for cooperation, changes as well as new opportunities and challenges in developing master's economics training and research cooperation programs between two schools. It is known that the two sides will continue to discuss so that the cooperation agreement can be made soon.
The International Institute for Social Studies (ISS) was established in 1952 at Erasmus Rotterdam University Netherlands. The Institute is an independent university, training only at graduate level in the field of research and development with many different majors. The cooperation between the National Economics University and the International Institute for Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam has been established since 1994, establishing the Graduate Program for Economic Development between Vietnam - Netherlands (MDE) today.
