From 5th July to 6th July, the delegation of NEU, led by Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - Rector of NEU, and Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of International Cooperation Department, had a visit and meeting at Szczecin University, Poland. At this meeting, there were also research group of state level project KX01.18-16.20, which consists of Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Trung Than - Head of Science Management Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Head of Environment and Urban Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Deputy Head of Macroeconomics Subject, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Quynh Hoa - Lecturer of Economics Faculty. From Szczecin University, there were Prof. Dr. Waldemar Tarczynski - President of SU, Prof. Dr. Marek Gorski - Vice President of SU, Ms. Malgorzata Kopalska - International Cooperation Department and Dr. Malgosia Guzowska- Manager of IMPAKT project of SU.
At the meeting, the two parties highly appreciated the cooperation between two universities in recent years, especially cooperation in research, and implementation of IMPAKT exchange project funded by European Commission. In this project, both universities exchange their staffs, lecturers, and students for training and research purposes. This is a fantastic opportunity for staffs, lecturers, and students of both universities to exchange knowledge, expertise in international environment. Currently, IMPAKT project almost comes to an end, thus, this meeting opened another opportunity to discuss and agree on content of the cooperation of both universities, including cooperation in research and participation building capacity project. The building capacity project is part of the Erasmus Plus cooperation framework, funded by European Commission.
The International Mobility Program for Academic and Knowledge Transfer (IMPACT) is a project approved by the European Commission for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the period 2014-2018. Project IMPAKT is a project developed and funded by ROUEN University (France). The project facilitates the exchange of students, teachers and staff of a group of 20 universities and institutes in 17 countries in Europe and Asia, including Vietnam. Vietnamese institutions are allowed to apply for the scholarship, including the National Economics University, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Foreign Trade University. The fields that this project focused on exchanging activities includes: Economics, Education, Environmental Science, Law, Management and Planning.
The University of Szczecin is a multidisciplinary public university of Poland. The school was founded in 1983. It has 1,500 faculty members and 33,267 students. The school participates in the Erasmus Student Exchange Project since 1998 and is a very active and cooperative partner with the National Economics University in the IMPACT Project.
