Signing MOU with Northwestern Polytechnical University
On October 15, the delegation went to Xi'an to work and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Northwestern Polytechnical University. Welcoming the delegation, towards Northwestern Polytechnical University, there were Professor Zhang Wei - Party Committee Secretary; Prof. Huang Wei - Vice Principal; Prof. Zhang Weihong - Vice Principal; Prof. Zhang Fuli - Head of International Cooperation Department; Prof. Liu Chenguang - Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics and Law; Prof. Che Ada - Director of Institute of Management.
Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) was established in 1938. Since the establishment of the People Republic of China, NPU has always been one of China's national key universities. NPU is a pioneer university in the field of new technology development in China. Currently NPU is ranked 601 - 800 leading universities in the World (TimesHigherEducation World University Rankings 2020).
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information and cooperation content between the two universities in the coming time, including: student exchange, teacher exchange, postgraduate training scholarships and joint training cooperation. At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding to act as a premise for specific cooperation in the next time.
Working with Beijing Institute of Technology
On October 17, the delegation went to Beijing to work with Beijing University of Technology.
Beijing University of Technology (BIT) was founded in 1940 and is now a leading prestigious university in China, especially in the field of information technology and digital economy. As one of the national key schools, BIT receives special funding from the Chinese government. The school has three main campuses: Zhongguancun - known as the "Silicon Valley of Beijing", 70 hectares wide; Liangxiang, the largest campus, has a BIT library and the Institute of Physics; and Xishan where the BIT laboratory is located. Currently BIT is ranked: 436 according to QS Global World Ranking 2020 and 601-800 according to TimesHigherEducation World University Rankings 2020.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged opportunities for cooperation on student exchange and training of lecturers, especially in the field of information technology and digital economy. BIT has agreed to grant 03 PhD scholarships to NEU's young lecturers and 05 student exchange scholarships for NEU undergraduate and graduate students in 2020.
Joining the Principal Forum and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Central University of Finance and Economics
From October 17-19, the delegation worked, participated in the Principal's forum, congratulated and participated in the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Beijing Central University of Finance and Economics.
Beijing Central University of Finance (CUFE) was established in 1949 and is the first university established by the Government of the People's Republic of China to train finance and economics. CUFE is considered to be China's top university for finance, economics, business, and management, known as the "Cradle of the giant in finance and management". In the Ministry of Education's Assessments, CUFE's Applied Economics is ranked No. 1 in China, along with Beijing University and People's University of China.
