On 29th September 2016, the representatives of Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics and Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture, Russia visited the National Economics University.
Attending the meeting, there were Ms. Irina Vostrivoka – Head of Congress Unit of St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Ms. Irina E. Belogortseva – Deputy first Vice-rector of Scientific Research and Innovative Activity, Head of Scientific Research Department, Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture. From NEU, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – President, MA. Pham Sy Long – Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, Assoc Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Trieu – Director of Educational Management Department, Assoc Prof. Dr. Vu Kim Dung – Director of Economics Faculty, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son - Director of Planning and Development Faculty.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat warmly welcomed the representatives of two universities to visit the National Economics University which was the oldest university in Vietnam. The President was pleased to inform that in November, NEU would celebrate the 60th anniversary of establishment. Prof. Dat also respectively thanked to Russia and its universities for supporting NEU in training and researching during 60 years of development. The President expressed the hope that NEU and Russian institutes would cooperate effectively in scientific research, student exchange and joint education.
On behalf of Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture, Ms. Irina E. Belogortseva said that apart from Culture and Arts, Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture offered programs in various areas such as Tourism, Economics. With more than 55 years of operation, Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture always attempted to preserve national cultural identity and keep up with global educational internationalization. She hoped that two sides could collaborate in the student exchange, joint research and publication.
Ms. Vostrikova Irina Yurievna asserted that St. Petersburg State University of Economics was the largest and the leading economic university at Russia with more than 85-year history and more than 30.000 students. It offered 30 bachelor programs and 58 master programs in more than 10 fields, including Economics and Business Management. St. Petersburg State University of Economics provided many joint programs in English in collaboration with more than 200 foreign partners. In Vietnam, it had relationship with Academy of Finance, Foreign Trade University and Hanoi National University. She hoped St. Petersburg State University of Economics and National Economics would promote scientific research and exchange between two sides in the time to come.
The visit of Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics and Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture, Russia opened new chances for all of three institutes to further international cooperation and to boost ties between Russia and Vietnam.
