On the morning of 16
September 2022, the Agreement signing ceremony between National Economics
University and La Trobe University was held at the National Economics
University.
Attending the ceremony,
there was Ms. Le Hien – Commercial Development Manager, the Australian Trade
and Investment Commission (Austrade), Mr. Dao Quang Truong – General Director
of Vietnam Development Bank. From La Trobe University, there was Prof Amalia Di
Iorio – Vice President, Prof Aron O’Cass – Dean of Business School, Prof
Suzanne Young – Vice Dean of Business School, Ms. Le Hieu – Regional Manager. From
National Economics University, there was Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong –
President, Assoc Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – Chairman of University Council, Prof.
Dr. Tran Tho Dat – Chairman of Training and Science Council, Assoc Prof. Dr.
Hoang Xuan Que – Dean, School of Banking and Finance.

Speaking at the meeting,
Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong stated that NEU had become one of the prestigious universities in
Vietnam in economics, business, and management. NEU was now expanding our
international cooperation with accredited institutions around the world in
research and training, especially credit recognition and joint training
programs. Thanks to that, NEU had been improving teaching methodologies and
developing various training programs at NEU that meet international standards. Currently,
NEU has offered more than 20 joint training programs in collaboration with
partners from the UK, France, Australia, Korea, etc. at all levels.

Established in 1964, La
Trobe University is a public research university based in Melbourne, Victoria,
Australia. La Trobe is one of the Australian verdant universities and also part
of the Innovative Research Universities group. In 2022, it was ranked in the
top 240 universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
In the 2023 QS World University, it was ranked in the top 320 universities. La
Trobe Business School is among the world’s best five percent of business
schools in the world that have earned AACSB accreditation. Thanks to the prestigious
and quality learning environment, and a globally recognized degree, the joint
training program between NEU and La Trobe University will certainly attract the
attention and participation of a large number of students in the coming time.

between NEU and La Trobe University, enhancing the quality of training programs
and research cooperation.

The joint training program for
Bachelor in Business (Finance and Management) between NEU and La Trobe
University has a duration of 3 years for candidates with IELTS 6.0 (no band
under 6.0) or higher or 3.5-4 years for candidates who have not yet met IELTS
6.0. Students completing the program will receive a bachelor’s degree from La
Trobe University.
During their studies, students can study all 3 years at
NEU or can study 2 years at NEU and transfer to Australia for 1 year. In particular, when
coming to Australia, students can choose to study a number of majors other than
Finance and Management. After graduating,
students are also granted a 2-year working visa by the Australian Government.
