On January 15, 2021, National Economics University in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam (JICA) published the Report "Evaluation of policies responding to Covid-19 and recommendations".
At the announcement ceremony, there were leaders and representatives of the Embassy of Japan, Japan International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam (JICA), Japan Trade Promotion Organization in Hanoi (JETRO), Japan International Co-op bank (JBIC), and National Economics University.
The report was conducted by the National Economics University in association with JICA to do policy research on the Government’s response to Covid-19. The report has focused on assessing the current situation and the impact of Covid-19 on the economy and enterprises, and on the effectiveness of policies to respond to Covid-19.
The report consists of 3 main parts:
- Part 1: Assessment of the impact of Covid-19 on the economy
- Part 2: Evaluate the effectiveness of Government policies in 2020
- Part 3: Proposed economic policy
NEU and JICA hope to send the report to the National Assembly and the Government to help maintain economic development and prepare for post-pandemic recovery in 2021.
