In the morning of April 3rd 2018, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the National Economics University had a meeting with the leaders of the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Attending the meeting, from the Ministry of Tourism Kingdom of Cambodia , there were Mr. Koeut Puthvory - Director of the Institute of Tourism; Mr. Park Chandara - General Director of Tourism Administration; along with officials from the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. From the National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Pham Truong Hoang - Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of International Cooperation Department.
At the meeting, Koeut Puthvory - Director of the Tourism Institute highly appreciated the quality of training of the National Economics University making great contributions to the development of human resources in Cambodia in recent years. Under the framework of cooperation on the development of tourism among Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, three partners have promoted mutual information exchange on tourism. Recently, the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia has established a Research Institute for Tourism Development Strategy, therefore, Mr. Koueut Puthvory looked forward to cooperating with NEU to develop the regional market and tourism development strategies.
Addressing at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong congratulated the establishment of the Research Institute for Tourism Development and Development as a big step of the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism's development. To provide the best support for the operation of this Institute, the National Economics University would send lecturers of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality directly for further training some short courses in Cambodia. In addition, the two sides will enhance to educate the doctoral degree in tourism. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong hoped that the cooperation program between the two sides would strengthen the strategic partnerships between the two countries.
