On the morning of March 13, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU Vice President welcomed and worked with Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen - Chief Representative of DAAD Hanoi Office.
Attending at the reception, on the side of the National Economics University, there was also Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Director of International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thuc Anh - Deputy Director of the International School of Management and Economics. On the DAAD side, there were also Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung - Officer of the Scholarship Department, DAAD Representative Office in Hanoi.
On behalf of the university's leaders, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU Vice President was pleased to welcome the delegation of DAAD officials who visited and worked at the University. He said that the University was keen to expand the network of development cooperation with German agencies and partners, especially with DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service and many scholarship programs for students, graduate students and researchers. He also hoped that after the meeting and introduction of scholarships today, the faculty and students of the University would have more opportunities to access to the prestigious scholarship information from the government of Germany. Also at the meeting, Vice President introduced briefly about the training programs, cooperation with European partners through many projects on exchanging lecturers and students, and projects in building capacity for DAAD representatives.
Thanks to the welcome from the University, Stefan Hase-Bergen said the DAAD was very pleased to visit the National Economics University and wished to disseminate useful scholarship information to students and staffs. Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen hoped the scholarship presentation would receive the attention and cooperation from the National Economics University.
After the meeting with the Vice President of the National Economics University, the DAAD representative had a consultation session on German learning opportunities and scholarships for lecturers and students of NEU, especially scholarship programs for fellows.
