On 22 August 2017, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - NEU President had a meeting with Mr. Stephen Lysaght - British Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat gave a brief introduction to NEU development. Being the first university training economics and business management in Vietnam, NEU had endeavored to become a research-oriented univeristy. The President expressed his desire to implement more collaborative activities with British universities and businesses.
Mr. Stephen Lysaght - British Deputy Ambassor to Vietnam was delighted to visited NEU and appreciated its prestigie in Vietnamese higher education system. He said that British institutions and NEU had great potentials for cooperation, especially in training and scientific research. Mr. Lysaght expressed his desire to boost relationship between NEU and British Embassy in the future.
Following the meeting, Mr. Stephen Lysaght delivered a speech on Chevening Scholarship - British scholarship in the Information Session co-hosted by NEU and British Embassy.
