On the morning of May 23 rd 2018, the MOA signing ceremony between the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of the National Economics University (NEU) and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand was held at NEU signature building.
Attending the ceremony, from NEU, there were Prof.Dr. Tran Tho Dat - President of NEU, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Truong Hoang - Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Msc. Hoang Thu Huong - Head of Department of Tourism and Travel Management. The delegation from Prince Songkla University was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun - Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality.
During the speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Tran Tho Dat introduced the history of formation and development of NEU, as well as recent notable achievements of NEU in the last 60 years. Prof. Tran Tho Dat expressed his pleasure at the first steps of cooperation between two departments as this lay a foundation for long-term cooperation between two universities. Following the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), representatives from two schools hope the cooperation will create interesting, productive and rewarding research and training programs for students.
Also at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun, Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Prince of Songkla University, on behalf of 43 members of the delegation expressed her appreciation to the warm welcome of Prof. Tran Tho Dat and NEU. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Prathana Kannaovakun introduced briefly the Bachelors and Masters programs of PSU. The programs use modern learning methods, combining theory and practice to help students prepared for work after graduation. In addition, the school also has programs taught in English to provide high quality workforce those can operate internationally. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun hopes that the joint teaching programs between the two faculties will be implemented as soon as possible.
