The national Conference: “Graduate education in the context of autonomy and International Integration environment” was held on November 16th 2017 by the National Economics University in collaboration with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh and Danang University of Economics.
Overview of the conference
From distinguished, there were Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh, Vice Director of Central Propaganda and Training Commission; Dr. Pham Ngoc Thang, Central Economic Commission; Dr. Trinh The Truyen, President of Hung Vuong University; Assoc Prof. Dr. Hoang Cong Gia Khanh, Vice President of University of Economics and Law – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. National Economics University was represented by Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat, President; Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Chairman of NEU Council.
Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong made speech at the conference
At the conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong claimed that international integration, globalization, knowledge economy and the 4.0 revolution had been creating changes in almost every country in the world. Higher education system had been facing with many challenges and also many opportunities. On to the global trend, the system in Vietnam had developed quickly. Vietnam Universities had acted actively in their operations from educating to organizing and financing. In the context of increasingly competitive market, universities were required to increase training quality, especially in graduate education. Professor Chuong on the behalf of National Economics University, hoped that the conference was a forum for educational experts to discuss and share experiences in operating system. He also showed appreciation to all guests and leaders who had come and attended the conference.
Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh addressed at the conference
To continue the conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Dean of NEU Graduate School reported the summary of 43 papers sumitted to the conference. The papers were specialized in improving graduate education in the context of autonomy and international integration environment. Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh emphasized that Vietnam Minister of Education and Training and the Government should coordinate with other departments to create a frame to evaluate the graduate education and the outputs of candidates.

At the end of the presentation and reports, the discussion session exaltedly between guests and many critical ideas had pop out in terms of finding solutions, methods to improve the quality of graduate education in the context of autonomy and international integration environment in Vietnam.
