On October 10th 2019, Assoc. Prof. Pham Hong Chuong, President of National Economics University had received donated books and worked with representative of Robert H. McKinney Law School, Indiana University, USA.
Attended the meeting, toward Robert H. McKinney Law School, Indiana University, USA there was Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao, Chairman of Law Professor Council, Director of Center for Intellectual Property and Innovation. Toward National Economics University, there was MSc. Pham Sy Long, Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department; MSc. Hoang Xuan Truong, Deputy Head of Law Department with lecturers and staffs of National Economics University.
At the meeting, two universities had given the views related to training cooperation and technology transfer. In addition, Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao had also introduced about activities in Center for Intellectual Property and Innovation at McKinney Law School. On this occasion, Robert H. McKinney Law School, Indiana University, USA had presented to National Economics University many text books and reference books about tax law for US Intellectual Property activities.
On behalf of university’s board of director, Assoc. Prof Pham Hong Chuong thanked the McKinney Law School and Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao for caring about National Economics University and hoped that Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao will continue to be the bridge between two universities in future cooperation activities.
After the meeting, Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao had delivered a lecture about the topic: “Copyright and technological change, opportunities and challenges for Vietnam” at Faculty of Law – National Economics University. Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thao had brought much valuable experience about copyright protection in digital age and copyright regulations in USA compared with that in Vietnam.
