On
September 13th 2019, National Economics University had organized a meeting between the university’s leaders and international students from Laos,
Cambodia, South Korea and Japan to congratulate 61 students to become National
Economics University’s students.
Attending the
meeting, there were Mr. Kham Phan, Cultural Counselor of the
Embassy of Lao PDR in Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Hong Luyen, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of
Education and Training. Toward National Economics University, there were Assoc.
Prof. Pham Hong Chuong, President; Dr. Dao
Thanh Tung, Head of Department of International Cooperation and representatives
of departments, social-political organizations in the university and 61 international students.
On behalf
of National Economics University, Assoc. Prof. Pham Hong Chuong warmly welcomed all students and guests to attend the meeting. The President said that
in year 2019 – 2020, the university had welcomed 61 new international students to join the community of 281 international students from Laos, Cambodia,
Korea, Japan, China, Ukraina and Belarus. He hoped that with the support of teachers
and classmates, all of new students would be able to show their bravery, graduate on time and become the ambassadors to bring their unique culture to Vietnam and strengthen the relationship among our countries.
Also in the
meeting, Assoc. Prof. Pham Hong Chuong thanked to embassies of the countries,
International Student Center, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry
of Education and Training for their cooperation and support in the process of training international students and
hoped that the relationship between National Economics University and all
agencies would be strengthened more in the coming time.
Addressing
at the meeting, Mr. Kham Phan, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Lao PDR in
Vietnam shared the difficulties which international
students had been facing with and encouraged them to learn harder to
create beautiful image of Lao’s students in the eyes of Vietnam and
international friends.
On behalf
of freshmen, Chikara Okabe, student from Japan expressed his
feeling and impression about the beauty of Vietnam. Chikara Okabe said that teachers in NEU were dedicated, professional and provided him with lots of
interesting lectures. He affirmed that all students would try their best to
study in Vietnam to meet the expectations of their family and the university.
