On the twenty-first and twenty-second of October, 2021, National Economics University, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Australian Human Rights Commission successfully co-organized an online scientific conference: “Sustainable business“ attracting more than 700 students.
At the conference, on the side of National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong - NEU Vice President; Mrs. Nguyen Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the Youth Union; together with representatives, lecturers and students of the university.
On the side of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), there were Mrs. Tran Thi Lan Anh - Member of the Standing Committee; Mr. Pham Thai Lai - Chief of Sustainable Business Development Office; ….
On the side of the Australian Human Rights Commission, there were Ms. Natasha de Silva - Senior Policy Director - International Partnerships; Ms. Lauren Zanetti - Director of International and Corporate Relations and Human Rights.
The conference raised the awareness of attendees about the importance of environment protection in business. At the conference, the participants together discussed the issues "Sustainable business" related to particular areas: sustainable business and human rights; Australia's cases about sustainable business and workers’ rights; business strategies in Covid 19 pandemic; the important role of business universities in promoting the implement of sustainable business and human rights; the business strategies attaching the environment protection.
After the conference, the students were more responsible and aware of environmental protection in business. The conference would be a premise for the achievements of novelty business projects in the future.
