In the afternoon of June 06, 2019, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - Party Committee Secretary worked with the delegation from RMIT University in Vietnam led by Mr. Layton Pike - Chief Global Adviser at RMIT University.
Attending the meeting is Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Director of NEU Department of International Cooperation.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat welcomed Mr. Layton Pike to visit NEU. Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat said that the National Economics University has good relationships with many universities in Australia and a huge number of NEU alumni graduated from Australia. Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat looks forward to furthering cooperation with Australian Universities especially with RMIT.
Mr. Layton Pike expressed his gratitude to NEU Board of Management for hosting him. He said that RMIT was proud of being NEU’s partner and he would love to enhance the cooperative relationship in training and research between the two institutions. With the former position as Australian Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Layton Pike believes that with his experience and relation, he can help NEU to obtain educational support packages from Australian Embassy for lecturers and students.
During the meeting, both sides discussed undergraduate and graduate training cooperation. NEU and RMIT will have a plan to sign MoU in the near future.
