On October 11th 2019, Saimaa University of Applied Sciences’ delegation paid a visit National Economics University.
Attending the meeting, toward Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Finland there were Ms. Laisi Wessman, Head of Hotel Tourism Department; Mr. Mika Kuusisto, Management executive. Toward National Economics University, there were Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Tho, Vice President of National Economics University; Assoc. Prof. Dam Quang Vinh, Director of Distance Training Center; Dr. Dong Xuan Dam, Dean of International School of Management and Economics; Assoc. Prof. Pham Truong Hoang, Head of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality; Msc. Pham Sy Long, Vice Head of International Cooperation Department.
Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Tho warmly welcomed delegations from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences to visit National Economics University. At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Tho affirmed that this was an opportunity for both universities to share information about future cooperation programs and the achievements from good cooperative relationships with partners in the world.
At the meeting, two universities expressed their support for exchange and cooperation activities as a step in supporting the education in developed countries and National Economics University was looking forward to learn about unique educational methods and optimal investment policies for education in a large university in Finland. After the meeting, both universities will continue to discuss about joint training program specialized for Hotel Management.
Previously in 2018, National Economics University and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences had signed a MOU. The representative of two universities hoped that annual student exchange programs will be implemented soon to improve training quality, create opportunities for National Economics University students to study with Finland students and contribute to develop the relationship between two universities.
