On 28 February 2017, National Economics University (NEU) and University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) signed the agreement on Master joint training program in International Economics.
Attending the ceremony, from UPEC, there were Mr. Eric HERTZLER – Director of International Cooperation Department, Assoc Prof. Dr. Michel STAMBOULI – Coordinator of Erasmus project. From NEU, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat - President, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Chairman of University Council, Assoc Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Cuong - Vice President, MA. Bui Duc Dzung - Director of Administrative Office, Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Dean of Graduate School, Dr. Dong Xuan Dam - Dean of International School of Management and Economics, Assoc Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Hung - Deputy Dean of Business School, Dr. Vu Van Ngoc - Deputy Director of Personnel Department, MA. Pham Sy Long - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department.
At the end of 2016, the NEU delegation led by President Tran Tho Dat had visited Universite Paris-Est Créteil and the two universities top level officers had discussed about all possible collaboration and cooperation opportunities including the cooperative master of international economics program. In order to establish the official partnership between the two universities, two sides organized the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between National Economics University and Universite Paris-Est Créteil on Master joint training program in International Economics.
Founded in 1971, University Paris-Est Créteil is one of the biggest multi-discipline universities in Paris and aims to train qualified leaders and researchers and promote international cooperation. Annually, UPEC trains more than 30.000 students at three levels: bachelor, master and Ph.D. UPEC develops rapidly with numerous branches such as International Management, Economics and Management, Law, Literature, Language, Society and Science and the like.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat shared that over 60 years of development, NEU still kept its proud position as one of the top universities in Vietnam, as well as a prestigious center for research and consulting in economics and management in Vietnam. NEU had obtained enormous achievement in providing talented and high-quality human resources for our nation and our neighbor countries like Laos and Cambodia.
Mr. Eric HERTZLER – Director of International Cooperation Department (UPEC) highly appreciated NEU's reputation in education and research in Vietnam. He hoped that two sides would carry cooperative activities effectively in accordance with the MOU such as student and staff exchange, joint research and co-organizing workshop and the like.
It was strongly believed that after this MOU signing ceremony, NEU and Universite Paris-Est Créteil would work together to realize all possible collaboration and cooperation opportunities.
