On August 20, to deal with the next wave of the pandemic, the Standing Party Committee of Hanoi announced that the city would continue to maintain social distancing until 6 a.m. on September 6 across the city.
Hanoi continues to deploy epidemic prevention checkpoints to control people entering and leaving the city. Businesses, restaurants, ... continue to temporarily close, so workers lose their jobs, students are trapped and forced to stay in the city until further notice.
Nguyen Quoc Chinh (19 years old, a student of the Faculty of Business Administration) from Phu Ly, Ha Nam province was not surprised by this announcement because the epidemic situation is still very complicated.
Because of the Covid-19 epidemic, he has been away from home for the past four months. On the days of social distancing, Chinh was just staying in the room, but he was somewhat less sad due to being with his friend. Besides, the room is also full of food, so Chinh is also somewhat secure.
Mentally prepare for the 3rd break
A first-year female student Tran Thi Uoc studying the Faculty of Real Estate and Resource Economics said she was currently living with two other female students in the school dormitory room. At the end of the second quarantine, she mentally prepared for the third time. In the first days when the city began to implement social distancing, she felt sad because she was only in her room instead of being comfortable when going to school and socializing with friends. However, now, she has felt much better.
This female student also said that her friends and she always tried to comply with rules when staying in the dormitory to keep themselves safe. The school also supports students with necessities such as instant noodles, eggs, vegetables, etc. during the days of social distancing.
The students stuck in Ha Noi have been trying their best to overcome this difficult situation.
