On the morning of November 17th, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU president, had a meeting with representatives of the World Bank.
At the meeting, there were Mr. Michael Drabble - Senior Education Specialist of World Bank; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh - Vice President of University of Science and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Viet - Deputy Director of Academy of Finance; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Long – Head of International Cooperation Department of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture; together with representatives of the World Bank, National Economics University.
At the meeting, representatives from universities and the World Bank together discussed proposals of projects using ODA and concessional loans of the World Bank. With the goal of creating a breakthrough development in improving the quality of teaching, learning and research at the National Economics University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU President put forward proposals of using financial aids effectively.
It is known that according to the strategic development goals of the University, the National Economics University will establish an autonomous governance model; establish intelligent operating centers and functional centers to collect and process information. In addition, the university aims to improve the capacity of applying technology in training and scientific research; create an ecosystem that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.
Mr. Michael Drabble - Senior Education Specialist of World Bank expressed his delight at new cooperation opportunities and hoped that the projects would be approved and implemented in the near future.
