On the morning of December 11, 2023, National Economics University opened the 12th International Scientific Conference: "Data calculation and social networks - CsoNet 2023". The conference will run until December 13, attracting speakers who are all leading experts in fields related to machine learning and forecasting, optimization, security and blockchain, social network analytics, etc.
Overview of the Conference
Attending the conference, on the side of delegates outside the school, there were Prof. Roger Wattenhofer - ETH Zurich, keynote speaker; Prof. My Thai Tea - University of Florida; Prof. Xingquan Zhu, Florida Atlantic University; Prof. David Mohaisen - University of Central Florida; Prof. Bao Ho - VIASM; together with representatives of universities, colleges, leading experts in fields related to machine learning and forecasting, optimization, security and blockchain, and social network analytics...
On the side of the National Economics University, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President; ASS. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong - Vice President; ASS. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Vice President; and representatives of departments, faculties, institutes, centers, experts and scientists throughout the university.
Current reality shows that artificial intelligence is one of the core tools that create a breakthrough for the 4.0 revolution. This technology has many roles in the life and production of businesses, helping units optimize many tasks as well as costs. In Vietnam, in early 2021, the Government issued a "National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence Research, Development and Application to 2030", with the goal of gradually turning Vietnam into an innovation center.
Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of National Economics University spoke
Opening remarks at the conference, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong shared that since 1956, National Economics University has strived to achieve excellent achievements in economics, public management and business administration, becoming one of the leading universities in Vietnam. With a tradition of research-oriented and comprehensive educational programs, NEU values academic collaboration and has established close relationships with leading national and international research institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations. CSoNet is one of the outstanding international events of National Economics University. "Through the conference, we want to create the leading interdisciplinary forum to bring together researchers and practitioners from all areas of big data networks, such as: computing and analytics on mega networks, mining, security and privacy, and deep learning." Dr. Pham Hong Chuong discussed.
Also according to Prof. Pham Hong Chuong, CSoNet 2023 seeks to address important computational problems of particular interest to researchers in recent times, focusing on fundamental foundations, theoretical technology development, and real-world applications related to analytics, big data network modeling, and deep learning. The conference attracted unpublished research on experimental methods and results in areas related to big data networks.
Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong believed: "From the special insights of the speakers and authors, I believe that we will enrich our deeper understanding of contemporary issues in operations and artificial intelligence. This conference will continue to demonstrate the deepening cooperation between Vietnam National Economics University and universities around the world."
Prof. Xingquan Zhu - Florida Atlantic University spoke
At this conference, the Organizing Committee received 63 scientific articles from scholars, researchers, lecturers from Vietnam and 18 other countries, including the United States, UK, Korea, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Norway, Russia, China, Japan, India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Iran...
Keynote Speaker, Prof. Roger Wattenhofer from ETH Zurich presents in the plenary session on the topic "Graph Learning"
After a rigorous review process conducted by prestigious researchers at home and abroad, 41 papers were selected to be presented in 4 sessions in the fields of: machine learning and forecasting, optimization, security and blockchain, and social network analysis. Only 23 excellent papers were accepted in the regular paper category. Therefore, the acceptance rate is 36%.
Papers accepted from the conference will be published in Springer Publishing's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series, indexed in ISI and SCOPUS. The NEU will also have special issues for the best papers presented at the conference in ISI journals: Journal of combinatorial optimization and IEEE transactions on network science and engineering.
Organizers hope the 12th CSoNet 2023 will be a great opportunity for researchers, application experts and policymakers to share their latest findings and form dialogues about ongoing research trends.
The conference attracted unpublished research on experimental methods and results in areas related to big data networks
