On behalf of school leaders, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu said that National Economics University organizes the International Scientific Conference on Accounting and Financial Economics (ICAFE-2024) with the goal of gathering scientists, experts and PhD students from domestic and international organizations to share knowledge and new research ideas, as well as discussing the development of accounting and financial economics. In addition, the workshop also creates opportunities for scientists, experts and PhD students in the industry to meet and exchange with domestic and international delegates to develop networks and opportunities for research cooperation. ASS. Nguyen Thanh Hieu believes that today's workshop will pave the way for stronger academic research and development cooperation between National Economics University and partners around the world.
Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Quang Canh - Director of the Institute of Sustainable Development spoke
Opening remarks, Assoc. Dr. Le Quang Canh - Director of the Institute of Sustainable Development, Lead Chair of the workshop shared, the idea of this conference came from the research collaboration between our colleagues from Victoria University of Wellington, Lincoln University and National Economics University, with the ultimate aim of promoting research towards publication in international academic journals and fostering research networks among researchers, professors and PhDs.
Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Quang Canh also said that the conference organizers received 135 manuscripts from many domestic and international researchers from different higher education institutions. After careful review, 30 manuscripts were proposed for revision and 19 were finally selected for publication in the Conference proceedings, with an acceptance rate of 14%.

Accordingly, the International Symposium on Accounting and Financial Economics (ICAFE-2024) not only aims at academic development, learning exchange and developing academic networks among higher education institutions but also contributes to promoting international published research and doctoral training programs, postdoctoral research of the University in the near future.
