Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Cuong - NEU Vice President - stated
According
to Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Cuong - Member of the National Assembly, term
XV, Vice President of NEU University, Government leaders are fully aware
of the special role of the agricultural ecosystem and start-up
innovation, when issuing a series of relevant documents and guidelines,
which is an important premise to promote startups in the field of
Vietnamese agriculture and agricultural products in the international
market. However, not all startups are successful, especially when the
market is facing many difficulties and challenges from external
fluctuations. Therefore, many universities have promoted their strengths
to create solutions, promote innovative start-ups, and provide human
resources for businesses.
Mr. Dam Quang Thang - Chairman of theVietnam Startup Mentors Alliance gave
the presentation "The business model of Vietnamese agricultural
products based on the value chain associated with technology"

enterprises in promoting agricultural business start-ups"
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Thao - Dean of Faculty of Real Estate and Resources Economics,
National Economics University - said that universities and research
institutes are important links of the innovative startup ecosystem, to
help start-up entrepreneurs and experienced professionals in support and
advice; to provide infrastructure conditions, laboratories for
businesses and start-up projects; to provide technology creating
momentum for startups and form startup incubators to create a practical
experience environment for students… “Universities can support the
startup ecosystem through the process of supporting and forming business
ideas, commercializing intellectual property…”, Assoc. Ngo Thi Phuong
Thao emphasized.
The
innovative agricultural startup club at the National Economics
University is an example. It is an easy-to-access model for students,
which helps them to practice skills, promote the will to start a
business and to realize the dream of startup by means of many
conferences, seminars, meetings with consultants... This club not only
receives the support from the school but also the sponsorship from the
management agencies and successful start-up businesses.
In
fact, supporting startups needs the participation of many sides, the
most necessary of which is the assistance from schools and businesses.
Because as to enterprises, it is not only a matter of social
responsibility but it also helps to form a business ecosystem and to
support mutual development.
