Afforestation Project at Thanh Chuong, Nghe An had been implemented by Chuo University (Japan) and National Economics University for 10 years. This year, students and lecturers from Faculty of Law and Faculty of Urban and Environment of NEU and Chuo University had an interesting journey to Nghe An from 27 to 29 November.
In the morning of 27th November, the delegation of students and lecturers from 2 universities visited Vuon - Ao - Chuong system at Y Yen, Nam Dinh in which food gardening, fish rearing and animal husbandry were wholly intergrated. That pattern was supported by professor Ogata from Chuo University and increasingly expanded to the surround community.
On November 28th 2015, the delegation took part in afforestation at Thanh Tung commune. Afforesting is activity within the project “Creating green economic zone along Ho Chi Minh Road” between Chuo University and National Economics University with the sponsor of Quy Nhon Plantation Forest Co., Ltd. It had contributed to reducing poverty in border communes, reforesting, conserving biodiversity and reducing the green house effect.
Although the journey lasted in only 3 days, it brought students of two universities opportunity to experience the practical basis and obtain the knowledge about the ecology, the efficient ways to use natural resources,… therefore, they could aware specifically their responsibilities in biodiversity conservation and development.
