With the aim to exchange culture and build a better relationship between Vietnam and Thailand, The Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of Higher Education Commission of Thailand and the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has successfully organized the Thai - Vietnamese Youth exchanged project for over 8 years. In July, three students of NEU including Pham Tuan Anh, Nguyen Thi Phuong and Nguyen Mai Anh were proud to be selected to participate in this project held in Bangkok.
During 11 days, Vietnamese students took several field trips within Bangkok and some surrounding provinces.
Nguyen Mai Anh said: "The Grand Palace and Wat Pho pagoda were the first two places that we had chance to visit. Needless to say, The Grand Palace’s splendor was amazed us a lot. Its architecture is unique and perfect in every little details, which undoubtedly the city’s most famous land mark. We were also acknowledge about the era of colorful varieties and beauty Rattanakosin era, when we paid a visit to Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall on the same day. What is more, arriving at PharaNakkonKhini historical park, we all agreed that the Western Peak, especially ChatchawanWiang Chai observatory impressed us the most. The view from this place is so fabulous that none of us want to leave. As on the schedule, on the same day, we also had chance to observe the Phra Ram Ratchaniwet Palace – an extremely elegant building in typical early 20th century with the blend of European style and Thai style which showed us the great talent of King Rama V".
Vietnamese students also experienced Chinatown - the biggest one in World TalatNoi, Bangkok first local bank, a Portuguese church and Khanh Van teemple - a Vietnamese temple. Furthermore, they visited Changhua Man project and ChaipattanaNurak project. Nguyen Thi Phuong shared: "We was also impressed with the Thai government’s support for promoting agricultural products. The government not only suggest farmers to become innovative in cultivation but also teach them how to protect the environment by recycling the waste to make fertilizer and using green energy like wind and solar energy. Both project is organic farming so the fruit and vegetable are very fresh and clean".
Especially, Pham Tuan Anh was proud of being the presentative of 12 Vietnamese students participating in Thai – Vietnam Youth exchange project 2017 to make a speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kingdom of Thailand. "We also would like to say thank you to the organizers for their great support and effort and we want to send the warmest thank to our beloved Thai friends who was standing by us during the trip. Without them, we couldn’t have had interesting experiences like travelling by tuk tuk, BTS and Canoe around Bangkok. This is an in our Youth and great effort of the organizers", Tuan Anh said.
Thai - Vietnam Youth Exchange Project is a meaningful program aiming to enhance culture exchange and mutual understanding between the young of two countries, improve students' leadership and teamwork skill as well as boost Thai - Vietnam relationship. The 9th Thai - Vietnam Youth Exchange Project ended successfully, brought NEU students valuable experiences and unforgettable memories.
