On April 25-26, 2022,
National Economics University successfully organized a seminar: "Building
a self-assessment report to serve the school's educational quality
accreditation according to “FIBAA Standard Suite”
At the seminar, there
were Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa - Vice President, Dr. Dam Son Toai - Head of
Examination and Education Quality Assurance Department; Mr. Bui Duc Dung - Head
of Administration Office; together with leaders of the Scientific Management
Department, the International Cooperation Department, experts, and lecturers.
In order to implement a development
strategy and achieve the goal of becoming a multidisciplinary university in the
top 100 leading universities in Asia in the fields of economics, management,
and business administration, the university has decided to carry out the
accreditation of the school according to the European Education Quality
Standards implemented by the Foundation for International Business
Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). FIBAA is the only organization in the
world accrediting educational institutions and accrediting training programs in
management, economics, law, and social sciences according to European
standards.
FIBAA's set of
educational institution accreditation standards included 7 standards with 34
criteria covering all areas in university administration such as goals and
mission of the institution, training philosophy, the development, and
implementation of training programs and implementation of scientific research
activities, international orientation, issues of admission standards, the
investment in facilities and activities to ensure educational quality at the
school, etc.
The development of the
school's self-assessment report on quality according to the FIBAA set of
standards plays a very important role in the entire process of accreditation
related to quality standards. The Self-Assessment Report with accompanying
evidence is the basis for the accrediting organization to research and evaluate
the entire university administration activities of the University. Being aware
of the importance of developing the Self-Assessment Report, the participants at
the seminar promoted their sense of responsibility in researching, discussing,
and clarifying the content of each standard and finding the corresponding
evidence to build the best Self-Assessment report.
After 2 days, the delegates
agreed on a draft of the Self-Assessment Report to continue to supplement and
complete the report, well prepared for the seminar with FIBA partners on May
4.
