On 13rd September
2016, H.E. Mr. Rudy Demotte - Minister, President of Government of the French
Community of Belgium (Wallonie-Brussels) visits and talks with students of
National Economics University. He was accompanied by Ms. Anne Lange – Chief
Representative of Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, Mrs. Jehanne Roccas – Ambassador of Belgian Embassy in Vietnam, Ms. Duciella
Tabbara – Deputy Chief of Minister-President Office, Mr. Philippe Detheux –
Consultant of Minister-President Office,
Ms. Do Thi Minh Giang – Consultant of Minister-President
Office, Mr. Laurent Piérart – Economic and Trade Counsellor –Wallonie Export
and Investment Agency in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Luc Moitroux – Program Manager
of Association for the Promotion of Education and Training Abroad. From the National Economics University, there
were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – President, Dr. Dong Xuan Dam – Dean of
International School of Management and Economics, MA. Pham Sy Long - Deputy
Director of International Cooperation Department.
Accepting the invitation of
Vietnam Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh, and on the occasion of 20th
anniversary of establishment of Wallonie-Brussels in Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Rudy
Demotte took an official visit to Vietnam from 13rd to 17th
September 2016.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho
Dat was pleased to inform the delegation that the year 2016 marked the 60th
anniversary of establishment and development of the National Economics
University – the leading university in the field of economics, management and
business administration in Vietnam. On behalf of NEU staff and students in
general, students and alumni of Vietnam-Belgium Master Program in particular,
Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat expressed the pleasure to welcome Mr. Rudy Demotte and
Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation to visit NEU. The President said that 20 years
ago, NEU received support of Wallonie-Bruxelles for Vietnam-Belgium Master
Program which was the cooperation between NEU and Solvay Brussels School of
Economics and Management. There were more than 2000 graduates from the Program
who held the important position in society and businesses. Prof. Dr. Dat
believed that the Program would increasingly develop, exploit the strengths and
potentials of the two universities, and enhance the collaboration between two
institutes and two countries.
Mr. Rudy
Demotte expressed his thank to NEU Board of Management, staff and students for
the warm welcome. He thought that the cooperation between NEU and
Wallonie-Bruxelles was the traditional relationship and highly appreciated the
achievements of NEU in education and research. His visit to NEU was also the
chance to review and evaluate the fruitful results in collaborative between two
sides. He hoped that the alumni of Vietnam-Belgium Master Program would become
the representatives of Wallonie.be, connecting businesses in Wallonie and
Vietnam, opening more new cooperative opportunities.
After the meeting, Mr.
Rudy Demotte had a talk with students of the National
Economics University, especially the students of Vietnam-Belgium Master
Programs. At the talk, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat
appreciated the success of Vietnam-Belgium Master Program, and thanked to
Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam for its support for the ddeveloment of
the Program during the past years.
Thanks
to support of Wallonie-Bruxelles in the past 21 years, Vietnam-Belgium Master
Program had reached the remarkable achievements. The visit of H.E. Mr. Rudy
Demotte and Wallonie-Bruxelles in Vietnam would opened opportunities to connect
the businesses of Wallonie and businesses in Vietnam.
