Following the success of EIEB 2015 and 2016, EIEB 2017 was held on 5 December 2017 at National Economics University.
Overview of the international conference
EIEB is one of the activities within the project: "Upgrading the quality of the Journal of Economics and Development to international standards". The conference aims to create a forum for Vietnamese and foreign researchers discussing and sharing their scientific works on economics and business management in the context of international integration.
Attending the conference, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat, President of National Economics University; Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Chairman of NEU Council; Prof. Dr. Phan Cong Nghia, Former Vice President of NEU; Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Hoi, Editor in Chief of Journal of Economics and Development (JED); Prof. Dr. Mai Ngoc Cuong, Former Editor in Chief of JED; Prof. Alex Pierre Hendrik Vanderstraeten from University of Ghent, Belgium; and members of Editorial Board, JED.
Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha made opening remark at the conference
Addressing at the conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha gave a big thank to all researchers, authors and related departments for their support to the international conference. According to Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, EIEB 2017 conference was a forum for discussing emerging issues in economic and business innovation in the context of international integration. He hoped that this conference would be an open forum for Vietnamese and foreign researchers exchanging academic knowledge and experiences.

At the conference, Assoc Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Hoi, Editor in chief introduced 3 objectives of EIEB 2017, including: (1)Providing a forum for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and ideas between researchers; (2)Bringing opportunities for researchers to present their research outcomes, and (3)Selecting high quality papers to publish on JED.
There are 57 english papers of young and experienced researchers and lecturers submited to EIEB 2017.
