The ASEAN European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) is a network of universities, consisting of European and South-East Asian universities with the goal of promoting the continuous internationalization of education and research. ASEA-UNINET was founded in 1994 by universities from Austria, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam including the National Economics University as Austrian-South-East Asian University Network and consists today of more than 80 universities from 20 different countries. This year, the “Ernst Mach Grant - ASEA-UNINET” financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) is open to postgraduates who have obtained a master degree (including master thesis) or a doctoral degree (or equivalent degree) in various fields (including e.g. Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Human Medicine, Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities Arts) as well as to graduates in the field of music. Under this grant, ASEA-UNINET offers four different types of scholarships:
- - Post-doc Grants (research grants)
Duration: 3 - 9 months
Grant benefit: 1,040 EUR
- - PhD-Grants: Grant for a complete PhD program in Austria
Duration: 36 months
Grant benefit: 940 EUR
- - Sandwich-Grants: Grant for a partial study period during a PhD program in Austria
Duration: 9 months
Grant benefit: 940 EUR
- - Music-Grants
Duration: max. 9 months
Grant benefit: 940 EUR
Additionally, scholarship holders receive a travel cost subsidy of max. 730 EUR.
