On the morning of December 21th, 2017 at room No.1005, Building A2, the conference on “Transfer Pricing and the Control of Transfer Pricing: Theoretical Basis and Experimental Lessons” was held under the framework of the series of activities of the national research project on social science and humanity named “Solutions to the Control of Transfer Pricing to Vietnamese Enterprises” - Name Code: KX01.02/16-20. hosted by National Economics University.
The conference attracted many researchers, scholars and important members of the government’s departments, organizations, companies and other precious guests.
Starting the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Vice President of the National Economics University welcomed all researchers, scholars, guests to the conference to share their researches and knowledge. He said that international integration was a vital trend which all countries around the world had been aiming to make their countries more stable and prosperous., Vietnamese enterprises were bigger and more complex, and their internal trading activities were common. The also said that transfer price was determined how to benefit to the businesses’ specific purposes but it was able to put out suspicious and forged information which did not reflect the real value of the transactions and caused damage to the country’s economy. The Vice President hoped that this conference would be a forum for researchers, scholars, planners and others to discuss and find solutions to controlling transfer pricing.
Transfer pricing and how to control it has always been researched by many domestic and foreign scholars to seek solutions to. Moreover, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has enacted instructions about transfer pricing and how to control it. However, due to globalization and integration expansion, the method of transfer price are more diverse and trickier. Thereupon, it is necessary to improve laws to strictly control transfer price to be suitable with the new socio-economic issue context in the world generally and in Vietnam particularly.
