On 18th November 2016, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat had a meeting with Mr. Chris Chang - Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement of University of Portsmouth (UOP), UK
Attending the meeting, there were MA. Pham Sy Long - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, Assoc Prof. Dr. Dang Ngoc Duc - Dean, School of Banking and Finance, Assoc Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Kham and Dr. Dang Anh Tuan - Vice Deans, School of Banking and Finance.
Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat warmly welcomed Mr. Chris Chang to visit NEU and was delighted to inform him that NEU had celebrated the 60th anniversary on 12th November. It marked a milestone in the development path of the university. The President asserted that international cooperation would be one of priorities in NEU development strategy, including joint research, education and student exchange. He also appreciated the cooperative idea of School of Banking and Finance and University of Portsmouth, as well as hoped that two wides would discuss in detail in order to reach agreement.
Mr. Chris Chang highly appreciated NEU position and prestige in training Economics and Business Administration in Vietnam. He expressed his desire that through his trip, two universities would develop joint training programs between NEU and UOP.
After the meeting, Mr. Chris Chang took a campus visit at NEU and worked with the leaders of School of Banking and Finance.
