On the morning of 7 March, 2024, the National Economics University, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Ernst & Young Vietnam Company Limited (EY Vietnam) jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding to continue cooperative activities in training, awarding scholarships and creating conditions for students to accumulate practical experience at businesses while still studying at the University.

Attending the signing ceremony, on ACCA's side, there was Mr. Ren Varma - Cluster Head, ACCA Mainland South East Asia; Mr. To Quoc Hung - Country Director, ACCA Vietnam. On the side of EY Vietnam was Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong - Chairman of EY Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh - Deputy General Director of Audit Services. On the side of the National Economics University, there was Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Vice President; together with representatives of departments, faculty, institutes, and centers; representatives of partner units and numerous students of the University.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of the National Economics University, welcomed the partners of ACCA and EY Vietnam, who attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding and witnessed this important lamppost.
Prof. Pham Hong Chuong affirmed that the solid cooperative relationship between NEU - ACCA - EY Vietnam over the past 13 years has been demonstrated in many fields, such as training, awarding scholarships as well as creating conditions for students to accumulate practical experience at a business while still in school. In particular, the introduction of the High-Quality Auditing Training Program integrated with the full-time ACCA system at the School of Advanced Education Program has opened a period of deeper strategic cooperation for both Schools, Associations, and Businesses, helping NEU students, in addition to mastering academic knowledge that can be applied in different fields of work, students can also access and learn practical content and how to apply it to real life. In particular, ACCA and EY Vietnam are ready to support the students with attractive scholarship opportunities through the "Pathway to Strategic Business Leader" program for the students to pursue an international professional qualification like ACCA with a passport to an internship at one of the four leading auditing corporations - EY Vietnam. Professor believes that today's Memorandum of Understanding not only marks the cooperation path of the parties but also opens up many new cooperation opportunities for both NEU - ACCA - EY Vietnam in the future.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ren Varma - Cluster Head, ACCA Mainland South East Asia, expressed his importance and gratitude for the recent cooperation and companionship of the leaders of the National Economics University and EY Vietnam. Mr. Ren Varma affirmed the strategic collaboration between ACCA and professional associations, Big4 auditing firms, multinational enterprises, and global and Vietnamese universities and academies in training accounting and auditing experts to offer a growing accounting and auditing profession, meeting the requirements of economic development.

Also, at the ceremony, the National Economics University, together with ACCA and EY Vietnam, awarded scholarships for the program "Pathway to Strategic Business Leader 2024" to excellent students. Due to changes in technology, the volatile business environment, and the desires of the young and dynamic student generation, the program " Pathway to Strategic Business Leader" has changed according to the new format and brought many new and more attractive points. The program content is not limited to accounting - auditing but equips comprehensive knowledge, skills, and opportunities in the accounting-auditing-finance-management industry, creating motivation for the National Economics University student community, shaping and nurturing young talents to become future strategic leaders.
