On the afternoon of September 11, 2023, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of National Economics University had a reception and conversation with Ms. Cristina Romila - Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam.
Attending the reception, on the side of the Romanian Embassy in Vietnam, there were also Mr. Adrian Stanica – Economic Counselor; and representatives of relevant agencies. On the side of National Economics University, there was also Dr. Pham Sy Long – Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, Ms. Cristina Romila expressed her joy that Vietnam and Romania have signed an educational cooperation agreement for the period of 2022-2026, and affirmed that Romania always cherishes the long-standing cooperation with Vietnam. Many Romanian graduates have been contributing to the development of Vietnam, which is a clear testament to the good relationship between the two countries. Ms. Cristina Romila hopes that the good relationship between Vietnam and Romania will continue to be further strengthened in the fields of economy, society and especially education. She also hoped that the efforts of cohesion and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries would bring great developments to both sides, including seeking opportunities for cooperation in fields such as research, exchanging lecturers and students with the National Economics University - the school chosen by Ms. Cristina Romila to visit and give a lot of affection.
In response to the goodwill of Romanian Ambassador - Ms. Cristina Romila, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of National Economics University also expressed his desire to work with Romania to implement and promote the exchange and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as actively exchange experiences on educational management. Also at the reception, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong briefly introduced the history of development, strengths and achievements of the University in recent years, and affirmed, "Aiming to become a multidisciplinary, multidisciplinary research-oriented university, especially in the current trend of global integration, National Economics University wishes to expand cooperation and share resources with many Romanian universities and educational institutions in the field of training, scientific research... thereby making an important contribution to promoting educational cooperation between the two countries".
